Q How much do custom invitations cost?

A

Because no two invitations are alike, there is not a set price. There are many variables to take into account when quoting invitations: quantity desired, number of inserts, paper, printing method used, envelopes, layers, pocketfolds, etc. At the very basic level, 100 digitally printed, flat panel invitations with outer envelope + RSVP card with envelope is estimated between $5 to $6 per set.

Q What is the timeline for a typical custom wedding invitation project?

A

Contact me at least 6 to 8 months before your wedding to secure your date. Designs should begin at minimum 4 months before your big day. Expect 1 to 3 weeks of design time + 3 weeks to print and ship. Invitations will be shipped 2 ½ months before your event. Rush orders can be accommodated for an additional fee, based on availability.

Q What types of printing methods are available?

A

Several methods of printing are offered but flat printing is our standard. Flat printing, also called digital, allows limitless colors and textures and is friendly on the budget. Other options include letterpress, offset printing and foil stamping. Letterpress printing adds deep impressions and vibrant colors to paper, bringing it to life. Foil stamping produces a gorgeous shiny metallic look that is classic and increasing in popularity in wedding stationery.

Q What types of paper do you use?

A

Invitations and cards are printed on thick, luxurious, 100% cotton Crane Lettra paper, available in white and soft cream. Matching envelopes are also available in a plethora of colors and styles. Have another paper in mind? There are MANY other options available! Contact me for a custom quote.

Q What methods of payment do you accept?

A

Cash, Check or PayPal. Personal check is the preferred method of payment.

Q Do you offer inner envelopes?

A

Invitations are not quoted to include inner envelopes unless specified by the bride. Inner envelopes were traditionally used in the past, and are a more formal option. Pocketfolds are quickly becoming their replacement.

Q I’m a bride on a budget; can you still work with me?

A

Yes! If you have a particular budget to work within, just let me know and we can try and accommodate your needs.

Q Will you provide wording for my invitations?

A

I can direct you to some wedding invitation wording ideas, however if you’d like something specific, we ask that you provide the exact wording. I can offer advice on what sounds best.

Q Will you design a sample before payment?

A

Unfortunately, no. Because of the time involved in creating your invitations, I cannot create a sample before a $200 deposit is received on a custom order.

Q Do you proofread?

A

To an extent. We will try to catch any errors if at all possible. Proofreading is ultimately your responsibility. Please, proof, proof, proof! We can’t stress enough the importance of making sure your invitations are error free before they go to press. Reprinting your invitations will be an additional fee if errors are discovered after production begins.

Q I’m in love with an invitation that you designed on your website. Will you reproduce the exact same design for me?

A

No. Each invitation is created custom for each client and an exact replica cannot be reproduced. If you see a particular design that you just love, love- we can keep that style in mind when designing your one-of-a-kind invitations.

Q When should I mail my invitations?

A

You should mail your Save-the-Dates 6 months prior to your wedding or up to a year for a destination location. Invitations should be mailed 6 to 8 weeks before your big day.  Have another question? Shoot me an email!
